Clubs

At St Michael's we aim to offer a wide range of after school clubs for our pupils to allow them to experience wider extra curricular activities.

We are lucky enough to have a Sports Coach who provides these clubs for pupils in Years 1-Year 6 after school each day. We also offer a Reception after school sports club in the Summer term.

Places are offered fairly with the idea that each child is given an opportunity to take part throughout the school year.

If you would like to enquire about your child joining a club, please contact the school office.

Our Current After School Clubs

Mondays - Year 2 Football

Tuesdays - Various Tournaments/Competitions and Key Stage 2 Choir Club

Wednesdays - Girls Football Team Training

Thursdays - Boys Football Team Training

Fridays - Year 5 and Year 6 Netball Trials/Training

Other year groups will be offered a club at different stages throughout the year.

Choir Club

We are very lucky to be able to offer a weekly choir club at St Michael's for our Key Stage 2 pupils. Children are welcome to attend the club which takes places on each Tuesday 3:15pm-4:15pm with Miss Depper and Miss Partridge.

Last year the choir took part in Young Voices where we performed at Resorts World Birmingham!

If your child is interested in joining, please speak to a member of the school office.

Our Music Lessons

Children in Year 3-Year 6 are offered the chance to learn a musical instrument and they continue to enhance their skills throughout their time in Key Stage 2. Places are limited and offered fairly to those interested.

Year 3 - Whole Year Brass Lessons and Woodwind Lessons

Year 4 - Brass and Guitar Lessons

Year 5 - Keyboard, Brass and Guitar Lessons

Year 6 - Woodwind Lessons

We are very lucky this year to be able to offer all our children in Year 3 the chance to learn a brass instrument as a collective class. These lessons are going very well and the Year 3 children (and teachers!) are thoroughly enjoying learning these musical skills.
