St Michael's and All Angels Church

We are very lucky at St. Michael’s to have The St. Michael’s Church just down the road and children regularly join Reverend Ruth for services and reflection.

St Michael & All Angel’s church is located within Bartley Green. It is here that the pupils of St Michael’s worship and celebrate events together as a school and Church.

History of the Church

The Church was consecrated in 1840, a small building in gothic style. It was enlarged in 1876 but did not become a become a parish church until 1956. After standing empty for a number of years, the church was demolished in 1968. The new church, its design based on a pyramid, was opened in 1964 on Romsley Road at the corner of Field Lane.
